CLO3D VISUAL LOG
Here is where I showcase my progress in learning CLO3D digital patternmaking. These patterns are a work in progress, I’ve only just begun learning the program. The imperfections in the patterns are not a reflection on CLO3D. This page is my visual log in order of date so that I can track my improvements. As promised I am sharing as I go. I also think sharing will also keep me accountable and give me an incentive to keep trying.
So what is CLO3D? CLO is a 3D fashion design software program that creates virtual, garments that you can visualization through simulation technologies. This software is designed specifically for the fashion and apparel industries. For the someone like myself, a self taught home seamstress with big dreams, this is perfect. I can create patterns quickly, print them and make a garment in less time than the traditional methods of patternmaking.
I subscribed to CLO3D in April 2022, because I wanted to learn digital patternmaking, and it is very affordable. So far I am very satisficed with my progress. The program has been easy to learn, fun, and presents great visualization of my garments that keeps me excited to create more. When I become proficient in CLO3D this will be invaluable knowledge that will take me to the next level. I will be able to design the garments I dream of designing quickly and efficiently.
I hope I can encourage and inspire you, to stay focused and work hard to achieve your goals. With determination, I will succeed! And You can too!

Tamia dress Loved creating this I am proud of my improvements. I think it was a great idea to showcase my work I can compare. each time I feel discouraged I look back to see just how far I've come.
March 10th 2022- I created this asymmetric dress for a CLO3D class. The dress is basic, quick and easy to make, but I learnt a lot. I used Top stitching tool here had fun playing with that. I also feel a little more comfortable with the tools, and I'm learn the shortcuts.
Friday April 29 2022 The Hanna crop top/Galina high waisted pants. This is the most recent project I made. I'm seeing so much improvements. think I'll soon be able to print one of these pattern to test it out.
Abrielle Dress- I love the concept of this dress. It would be beautiful in gingham. I can definitely see one of my textile designs on this dress also. But I haven't learned how to place the print on the garments yet. All in time.
Fabienne Dress- Tried out the spiral tool, for the sleeves. This was also the first time I inserted a zipper. 😃Fun!
The Caden Coat- This was a challenge I couldn't figure out how to fix the left side of the pattern. The garment is bulging out under the arm. I finally gave in and I didn't go back to it. but I must return to it and trouble shoot until I figure it out.
Baily top /The Dae pleated skirt- Had fun playing with the pleats tool in CLO3D. 😁I was over the moon with excitement, watching the program simulate and the garment came to life in one click. I LOVE I!
Edana the sexy off the shoulder top and fitted skirt. The ruffle was a bit of a challenge but I did it.
